A Tradition of Caring® Scholarship

As a family-owned business with a century-long tradition of compassionate service, Penwell-Gabel is committed to the wellbeing of the communities we serve. That's why Ren and Theresa Newcomer instituted the Tradition of Caring® Nursing Scholarship.

Each year a $1,000 scholarship is awarded to a nursing student in each community served by a Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home. The award is based on academic excellence and community involvement and is open to college students and high school students pursuing a degree in nursing.

For your convenience, an application will be available for download from this page starting October 1, 2009, with an application deadline of January 31, 2010.
